Ive seen one on the road. Looks pretty good.
I could never live with it though, knowing that its a fake.
I'd rather wear a real seiko than a fake Rolex.

who cares? you're not allowed to drive fast enough to tell the difference anyway, nor will any of us be able to afford a clutch repair on a real one
as for sound, a clever exhaust will weed out all but the most devoted tifosi, but I've never met any of them in real anyway, and I don't hang out with car nerds either, so who cares?

a car is a car, and a watch is a watch. fake rolex does the exact same thing as a real seiko, costs the same, and looks 100 times better. You like getting less for the same money? enjoy!
Ya #$%#, sure, if you're just gonna straight up embrace it for what it is then go for it. Easily the coolest looking thing you could buy for that price range for sure.

What's the great shame in driving an MR2 or a Miata?
i would NEVER own something like that. I just think it's one of the least cool things ever. but if it tickles your fancy, that's your decision to make. i just thought you were classier than this, or at least pretending to be
owning an MR2 is fair game, its a good car. but putting different body panels on it and directly or indirectly saying "more than you can afford pal, Ferrari" is just pretentious, fake, lame, and gay. if you want the wonderful 355 looks then you have to accept the bad with the good. if you can't afford a clutch change in the real thing, don't pretend to. faking affluence? shitty behaviour.

Edit: and think about this... do you really want to either have to lie to someone and say "yeah that's a real Ferrari all right!" or have to be honest and say "oh no, that's just a Toyota" every time someone wants to talk to you about the car?
I'd rather own a kit car or a stock looking car. Not fake Ferrari.

It's a better kit than many others I've seen, but the wheelbase is still not right, the gap in the wheel arches is wrong, and it will not sound anything near a ferrari. The interior is a let down, too.

why do you care about the looks , who are you trying to impress with a fake Ferrari.
personally I think it looks cool , but would never be the type to drive something like that..

no matter how you justify how it drives you can't ignore you paid X amount of dollars extra to appear to some people that you drive a Ferrari , but not anyone who knows anything about cars. ( which btw are the only people impressed by the real F car anyway)
I don't get why you wouldn't just go for the MR2 without kit. MR2 is a good looking car.

I would buy it if it looked exactly the same on the outside. I'm not shameless enough to drive around with those nasty wheel arch gaps that disord3r mentioned.

they all look like they've been cut in half and had a section of them removed. I've never seen one of these kits that looks proper.

I'd so much rather have an MR2 Turbo that still an MR2 Turbo. If I wanted to change the looks up, I'd just throw a Tom's T020 or other fairly simple kit on it.
These are so much better than that.

What I like the most about the F355 is the sound, even when idling, so this whole speed limit thing means nothing to me in this argument. The proportions are silly compared to the real F355.
But it's red and low, so it'd serve its purpose (for retired single men).
