3 years later.

I bought my 600RR new in 2006 from Maxey's in Oklahoma City. I have put 19,000 miles on it so far, and I think I will keep it until it dies or I die. I have been riding for over ten years and have owned more than 15 motorcycles. I have never been so completely pleased with a bike as I have been with... the 600RR. I cruise around town with it, I commute on it in every kind of weather year round (but not snow), I have taken riden it to Phoenix, and carved HWY 7 from Russelville to Hot Springs, AR. The bike is comfortable for a guy my size (5'10"/155 lbs) to ride straight through a tank of gas without taking breaks. It handles well and with such confidence that I have worn the outside of my shoe soles taking corners. I have had it up to 160mph where it is rock solid, and I have sat in bumper-to-bumper Dallas traffic in August where it doesn't overheat. Maintenance is easy (except for the valve adjustment and air filter changes). This is a really great bike! Read Full Review

Best Ride of your Life

By Miles Mundy(Owner), Sep. 16, 2008

For a first street bike, respect is the game. This bike, a fantastic machine in its own right has forever set the bar in performance, looks and design. Ive been riding for about 2 years and still to this day I come to learn that this bike still has far more potential than I can throw at it. With eve... ry high, there is a low...only in this bikes case the low is easly fixed and not a huge concern while considering buying. The issue I speak of of course is the seat and riding position. While having a very aggressive stance while riding the seat does not match the comfort zone I would like. Any trip over 80-100 miles will surely make say "ahhhhhhh" when you peel yourself off the seat from a nice long ride. Though a nice custom corbin or gel seat and poof, problem eliminated. And while yet being an absolute monster over 7500rpm the CBR's have always lacked just a little in the mid-range compared to other 600's. Though I found with a slip on exhaust, performance air filter and possibly a power commander depending on your cash flow totally corrects the imperfection and allows this bike to propel to the top of its class in performance and perfection to detail! I am in love! Read Full Review

2006 CBR 600RR

By Shifted_04(Owner), Sep. 17, 2008

First bike owned. Have ridden sport bikes and cruisers and fell in love with the styling of Honda's CBRs. Originally considered purchasing 1998 Honda CBR 600F3 only due to cost of the RR. Could not bring myself to ignore the styling of the RR and ending up purchasing one. I have also been impressed ... with the value at which Honda CBR line is retained. For anyone looking at the CBR600RR I would definitely recommend it. After you get one you have trouble parting from it... it becomes an addiction. Spend some time on 600RR.net and you will quickly understand why. Read Full Review

Love her!!!

By m. hopwood(Owner), Feb. 21, 2009

I have been riding street bikes for 20yrs(power cruiser) finely took the next step to cannon carver. Struggled w/ the 600/1000 decision, obviously I chose the 600. No complaint's about seat comfort, under seat exhaust heat, or anything.

I have no trouble keeping up w/ the 1000's and often pass t... hem on curvy mountain roads. And no I don't ever lead the pack, the guy's in the leather's are just too much.
The bike is lot's of fun, low maint. I love this thing.

Great Bike

By Mike(Owner), Sep. 23, 2008

This is a great all around bike. I ride mine on the track and ride on the street (even back home from the track sometimes). The motorcycle is fun to ride, handles well, and has plenty of power. The only negative comment would be about changing the oil. You have to take half of the right side fai... rings off just to get to the oil filter. Newer models are a little easier, but you still have to remove the fairing. Overall a really great bike on the road or on the track. The lack of Honda sponsored Honda riders and lack of Honda sponsorship is disappointing around the track, but does not detract from the bike's performance or looks. Read Full Review
